8:15 p.m., Charlotte steps out of the shower and wraps herself with a towel. She revels in the silence and the steam that surrounds her. Taking two steps forward, she is at the edge of her sink. With her right hand holding the towel up, she reaches forward, clears the mirror of the moisture that has formed and looks into her amber eyes through the blurry reflection then glances away as she dries herself off.
